The Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), the apex body representing more than 8,000 rice exporters across India, is organizing the second edition of the Bharat International Rice Conference 2026 (BIRC 2026) from 23–25 October 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India.

As you may be aware, India is the world’s largest rice exporter, with annual exports exceeding 20 million metric tonnes and reaching more than 170 countries across the globe.  BIRC 2026 is envisioned as one of the world’s largest and most influential platforms dedicated to the rice industry, bringing together policymakers, trade bodies, exporters, importers, researchers, technology providers, and other stakeholders from across the globe.

The Conference is expected to witness participation from around 300 leading international buyers, government delegations, diplomats, food companies, retail chains and trade associations from various countries. The event aims to strengthen global food security partnerships, promote sustainable rice trade, encourage technology exchange and showcase India’s leadership in the global rice sector.

BIRC 2026 will reaffirm India’s commitment to food security, sustainable agriculture, technological innovation, and inclusive trade growth. It will provide a unique platform for dialogue, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and business networking across the entire rice value chain. With participation from governments, international trade organizations, private-sector leaders, innovators, and farmers, BIRC 2026 is poised to emerge as one of the world’s most significant rice industry events, fostering stronger global partnerships and creating new opportunities for trade and investment.
